International Association of Currency Affairs Excellence in Currency Awards for Coins

Â We are delighted to announce that IACA is seeking nominations for its Excellence in Currency Awards in four categories of coin projects from now through August 7^th, 2015. Do not miss this opportunity to nominate your organizationâ€™s innovations! IACA will present awards in the following four categories at the Coin Conference in Madrid, Spain (October 21-23, 2015):

Best New Circulating Coin or Coin Series

Best New Commemorative or Test Coin Issued at Face Value

Best Coin Processing Innovation

Best Coin Public Education Program or Website

The award categories have been designed to recognize circulating coin designs and innovations in processes, policies, and communications.

IACA encourages all representatives of mints, finance ministries, central banks, and suppliers of circulating coin products and services to nominate your new circulating coin designs and coin industry innovations for recognition â€“ we know how diligently your organizations have worked to make your important initiatives successful. IACAâ€™s awards programs exist for the purpose of bringing attention to important new developments in circulating coins and currency. Self-nomination is allowable, and encouraged.

IACAâ€™s Guidelines for IACAâ€™s Excellence in Currency Awards have been updated with details about the coin awards and can be found at the IACA website. We developed this document to provide transparency and offer guidance on our criteria. Nominations that reflect the guidelines will have the best chance of success.

Nominations in all categories for award in Madrid are limited to the two-year period from August 1, 2013 through July 31, 2015.

IACA will accept nominations through August 7^th, 2015.
