ATM & Cash Innovation Latin America Conference
(editor’s note) we are pleased to announce our latest partnership with the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) together with information regarding the ATM & Cash Innovation Latin America Conference, April 18 to 20 in Panama City, Panama. ATMIA was founded 20 years ago to support the Automated Teller Machine industry. Over the course of it’s 50 year history, the ATM has grown rapidly and steadily, year-over-year in numbers of installed machines around the world, but has evolved as a convenient banking service device that initially only dispensed limited value packets of banknotes into a multi-purpose financial services platform offering a wide assortment of dispense, payment, deposit, transfer and information services. Today, the ATM is the most convenient and most used financial services device on the planet. ATMIA is dedicated to promoting ATM convenience, growth and usage worldwide; to protecting the ATM industry’s assets, interests, good name and public trust; and to providing education, best practices, political voice and networking opportunities for member organizations. The editors and regular contributors to CountingOnCurrency are honoured to be partnered with ATMIA as a Media Sponsor for the various regional and topical global conferences hosted annually by the dedicated, passionate and experienced group of professionals who together make ATMIA a crucial and influential organization without equal in the ATM industry.
(Personal note from Brendan Burge, CountingOnCurrency Executive Editor: – Although I have attended a vast number of specialty conferences for the currency, gaming, armoured car (CIT) and banking industries, it has been a rare experience to have difficulty in deciding which presentations to attend and subsequent disappointment because it was not possible to attend all of them. It had been about 10 years since I had attended only my second ATMIA conference, which was the first ATMIA conference, held in in Beijing, China. I was fortunate to be able to attend the recent ATM & Cash Innovation USA Conference in Orlando, Florida. The two day event offered over 30 presentations, addresses, workshops and panel discussions, which were packed with valuable and critical information according to the numerous industry attendees I spoke with. My informal conversations with approximately 50 attendees and exhibitors did not yield one single assessment of the conference as anything short of providing extremely high value for the expense and effort necessary to attend or exhibit. In 34 years of attending a wide variety of conferences, I have rarely witnessed such a high degree of satisfaction across all attendance categories. I offer you a simple personal recommendation: plan to attend the Latin America conference and any other ATMIA event that is relevant to your business and regionally appropriate for your current and future market opportunities!)
