23 December, 2012
Those of us at Counting On Currency wish for you, our faithful readers and supporters and your families, a season of peace and a new year ahead full of good health and prosperity. Whatever your personal beliefs, there is likely a holiday tradition that at least roughly coincides with our recognition of Christmas. From our family to yours, we wish you the best of the holidays and the most for the prospects of the New Year!
Over the holidays we are planning a few surprises for the site. Early in the new year we are hoping to unveil a newly re-designed and renewed Counting On Currency. 2013 will mark our sixth year bringing you free access to news, information, opinion and comment from around the currency world. Our first Post in April, 2009 on our own properly hosted website marked a departure from free* platforms and we are looking to repeat the significance of that strategic move with another. We are planning to have a Gangnam Style seventh year!
* Counting On Currency was first hosted on Google’s Blogger platform (est. 2007). Since moving to a hosted site (according to our Google Analytics database) we have received over 96,559 Visitors who Viewed over 434,656 Pages – we thank you for your support!… and for the more traditionally minded, we couldn’t resist adding this special Christmas video from Auckland New Zealand (2010)
Counting On Currency will be celebrating the seasonal holidays (Canadian style!). We will return to our attempted Regular Post Schedule of once per week on January 6th, 2013…
