Communication Channels with the Public by Banque du Liban
In recent years, the Cash Operations Department at Banque Du Liban has opened various communication lines with the general public and with specific stakeholder groups to reach several goals. These goals can be summarized as follows:
- Introduce to the public new designs of banknote series;
- Create public awareness of the security features in the series;
- Measure the “market share” of the national currency through dollarization statistics;
- Raise public awareness to the key role of the central bank in an attempt to increase the use of BDL products, namely the national currency;
- Enhance financial education through different means;
- Perform and support cultural activities based on a commitment to corporate social responsibility;
- Organize and support conferences and events that create opportunities for local companies based on corporate “industrial” responsibility
This presentation will discuss how these aims were transmitted through different virtual and real communication channels to reach a wider audience and raise public awareness.
